Some hacker has been exploiting my innocent page.php to spam people. My host picked up on this and has instructed me to take page.php offline. I will fix this asap, but until then, the news page will be the only thing available. The Live Archive is coming along nicely. Almost all the show and setlist data has been inputted. There are just a couple new features that need implemented that will allow users to suggest changes and upload photos.

Lots of going-ons in the WoW (World of Weezer). They were MTV’s Artist of the Week recently, have been on NPR, and Sirius radio. Oh yeah, and their sixth studio album, The Red Album dropped June 3rd. Rad.

Check out the video page for a behind the scenes look at the MTV week. You can stream it over at the MTV site right now, too.

KROQ has been spinning the new single, Pork and Beans, lately. It was also streaming on the newly redesigned .com recently. Check out the audio page for the La Riots remix of Automatic, ripped from the Gran Turismo intro by Prezhulio. That’s Pat on the vox.

Check out amazon.com for a clip of the new single “Pork and Beans.” That’s a pretty nasty sound going into the chorus. Moog synthesizer? The self titled album is tentatively slated for release June 17th 24th.

Check out the video page for some new stuff. There’s a 2005 interview on T-Minus Rock. Subjects include the fate of the band’s MTV Moonman and Karl. I also put up the first two tracks of the boxing ring Philly show from 2001. I’m not sure when I’ll get the rest up unless its in Quicktime format since I’ve entered the world of the Apple. MPEG 1 is a pain to encode these days.
In other news, I lost your email coloredvinyl, talk to me martin -at- weezed -dawt- com.

Hey everybody. A pretty unique situation has presented itself to me recently…
An bootleg trader from the past has come out of the woodwork and offered me his massive collection of Weezer bootlegs. I traded with him once before (thats where most of the unreleased pre-2001 bootlegs I’ve posted came from), but now he just wants to unload everything. His interest in both Weezer and bootleg traded have waned away to nothing.

This is where you come in… He would like to recoup some of the costs associated with building this collection, which is mostly the huge amount of money spent on postage, packaging, and compact discs. I’m not about to drop a bunch of cash on Weezer bootlegs while I’m in the middle of college, but if you want to help this collection see the light of day leave a comment here or email me at martin_AT_weezed_DOT_com.

NO this is not paying for bootlegs, its more like paying him back for postage and CD-Rs. There are over 75 shows in this collection, many of which have never been released. If somebody else ends up with the collection it will probably stay that way, too.
I’ll see if I can get a list of the shows, but I want to gauge interest before I spend time and effort coordinating this.
